Hot Hand Band is a Brooklyn-Based mini brass band led by trombonist and NY-native Kevin Moehringer. Forming in 2016 in New York City, they developed their repertoire around a few restaurant/bar gigs and residencies that came up around the same time that Kevin was developing the concept for his second full-length album as a bandleader. Hot Hand Band focuses on party and dance music from different genre; New Orleans music has a primary influence on the sound but one can also hear some soul, funk, jazz, and hiphop interwoven into the groups’ sound. The band has a variable lineup, but mostly performs with tuba, drums, trombone, trumpet, and tenor saxophone. Hot Hand Band will release their debut album in the Spring of 2018. In short, Hot Hand Band brings the party wherever they go!
