Reginald Chapman is a trombonist, composer, arranger, educator, and collaborator who hears every musical role in relationship to the whole.

Reginald has built a musical life moving fluidly between low-brass anchor, improviser, arranger, bandleader, session player, theater musician, and teacher. That range shapes the way he works: listen widely, prepare deeply, and make every part strengthen the identity of the music.
His original projects put that philosophy in the foreground. Chaphouse—the current flagship—uses brass, rhythm, electronics, composition, and collective improvisation to create music that is physical, spacious, and alive to the people playing it.
Whether the setting is a small club, a recording session, a large ensemble, or a classroom, the aim is the same: clarity, groove, imagination, and a real exchange between people.
